Assembling of software on the github

Assembling of software on the github

Using CMAKE for various operating systems

For the correct assembly of the project, the library Boost is required with the collected static libs.

We'll figure out how to collect them on different operating systems.

Also in this article, we'll look at how to use assembly for different applications, such as Visual Studio and Qt Creator.

First, let's look at an example of a complete download of files from the GitHub repository:

We go to the required repository, we do it as indicated in the picture, thus we save the reference to the repository for further cloning to the computer.

(you can also download Zip archive and unpack it on your computer)

  • If the Git program is installed on your computer, this method is suitable, as described below.
  • If not, then you need to download Zip archive.

Open the command line and specify the folder into which you want to download the files.

After that, we enter the following command:

git clone https://github.com/CREDITSCOM/CSNode.git

We check that the download has occurred and after a while and we'll see the inscription Checking out files: 100% signifying the completion of the download.

So we have all of the files

Now we will build on different versions of the OS:

Windows:

We enter these commands one by one.

     mkdir build64

     cd build64

     cmake .. -A x64

Also, you can use the assembly for a specific program

               cmake -G "Development Environment x64" ..

Example:

               mkdir build64

               cd build64

               cmake -G "Visual Studio 14 2015 x64" ..

Qt Creator: Just run the CMakeLists.txt file and you will get the generated project.

Linux:

On Linux, everything is much simpler. If you use Qt Creator, then open the file CMakeLists.txt and get.

For other generators, use the same command as in Windows:

               mkdir build64

               cd build64

               cmake -G "Development Environment x64" ..
